THE FLOOD ALERT THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY IN FORCE FOR THE LOW LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS ADJACENT TO EMURI STATION AND DOWNSTREAM OF SEMO RIVER IS NOW CANCELLED.

A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE FOLLOWING LOW LYING AREAS AND AREAS ADJACENT TO RAKIRAKI TOWN AND DOWNSTREAM OF RAKIRAKI STATION.

A FLOOD ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LOW LYING AREAS AND SMALL STREAMS ADJACENT TO MAJOR RIVERS FOR YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP.

SITUATION

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WITH ASSOCIATED CLOUD AND RAIN LIES SLOW MOVING OVER FIJI. MEANWHILE, ANOTHER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE TO THE NORTH OF FIJI IS EXPECTED TO DRIFT SOUTH AND AFFECT THE COUNTRY FROM TUESDAY.

A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP.

LEVEL AT RAKIRAKI STATION WAS 1.87M AT 9.30AM WHICH IS 0.13M BELOW WARNING LEVEL AND DECREASING.

LEVEL AT EMURI STATION WAS 2.9M AT 9.30AM WHICH IS 0.6M BELOW THE ALERT LEVEL AND DECREASING.
