SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER ONE HUNDRED TWO FOR HEAVY RAIN ISSUED FROM RSMC NADI AT 2PM ON FRIDAY THE 17TH OF FEBRUARY, 2017.

HEAVY RAIN WARNING

A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR WESTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, NORTHERN PARTS OF VANUA LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP.

SITUATION:

A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE LIES SLOW MOVING JUST TO THE NORTH OF FIJI. ASSOCIATED ACTIVE RAIN BANDS CONTINUES TO AFFECT THE GROUP.

FOR WESTERN VITI LEVU, NORTHERN PARTS OF VANUA LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP: OCCASIONAL RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES AND FEW THUNDERSTORMS. RAIN EXPECTED TO EASE FROM TOMORROW.

LOCALISED HEAVY RAIN MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
