A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR KADAVU, YASAWA GROUP, LAU GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS.

A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI.
SITUATION
A DOMINANT MOIST NORTHWESTERLY WIND FLOW PREVAILS OVER FIJI WITH THE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE JUST TO THE WEST OF THE COUNTRY.
MEANWHILE, TROPICAL DISTURBANCE 08F, [999HPA] WAS LOCATED AT ABOUT 21.8S 179.7W OR ABOUT 160KM SOUTHWEST OF ONO-I-LAU AT 6AM THIS MORNING. TD08F IS MOVING SOUTH-SOUTHEAST AT ABOUT 15KM/HR AND IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE MOVING SOUTH AWAY FROM FIJI.
ANOTHER SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL DISTURBANCE, TD07F, CURRENTLY TO THE FAR NORTHWEST OF FIJI, NEAR VANUATU, IS EXPECTED TO MOVE TOWARDS FIJI, GRADUALLY INTESIFY INTO A DEPRESSION, AND POSSIBLY AFFECT THE GROUP FROM THURSDAY.

OCCASIONAL SHOWERS ABOUT THE WESTERN PARTS OF VITI LEVU AND MAMANUCA GROUP, WITH AFTERNOON OR EVENING SHOWERS ELSEWHERE.
ISOLATED HEAVY FALLS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED GENERALLY IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING.
