Suva, Fiji – Monday 23 June 2024: The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) is thrilled to announce its new partnership with the South Pacific Coffee Company (SPCC) as a Competition Partner for the HOTEC Tradeshow 2024.
SPCC’s involvement underscores a commitment to the growth and development of the hospitality industry in Fiji and the Pacific. Through this partnership, SPCC will play a vital role in the Barista Competition, which aims to increase the knowledge and expertise of baristas, ensuring they can deliver world-class coffee experiences to both local and international visitors.
FHTA Chief Executive Mrs. Fantasha Lockington expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to welcome South Pacific Coffee Company as a Competition Partner for HOTEC 2024. The Barista Competition at HOTEC 2024 promises to be a highlight, with preliminary rounds kicking off in late July that will see Baristas from across the country have the chance to compete, learn, and refine their craft, culminating in the grand finals at the HOTEC Tradeshow.
In addition to the Barista Competition, SPCC will also be involved in various activities throughout the tradeshow, providing insights into coffee trends, techniques, and innovations. This partnership is poised to enhance the overall experience for attendees, offering them a deeper appreciation of coffee culture and its role in the hospitality industry.
