Fiji Times February 23 – ONE of the Northern Division’s smallest tourism properties — Maqai Eco Surf Resort — has added another feather to its cap after receiving the Tourism Sustainability Award at the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) last week.
According to resort director Shaw Mead, the win meant a lot for the resort.
“It means a huge amount to us, we really dedicate this to all our staff and sustainability is something we are really passionate about and being able to carry it off is just amazing,” he said.
The resort, based on Qamea, Taveuni, suffered extremely during Tropical Cyclone Winston after most of the bure on the property were damaged. Read More…
