Captain Cook Media Release –
Captain Cook Cruises Fiji are giving guests twice the chance to explore their beautiful private island of Tivua, after adding a second daily departure for their Tivua Island Day Cruise. From 1 April 2019 the seven-hour Tivua Island Day Cruise will now depart Denarau Marina at 11.30am in addition to the regular 10.00am departure.
“We have so much demand for our Tivua Island Day Cruise that we wanted to offer our guests a second, later departure option.” Said Jackie Charlton, General Manger, Captain Cook Cruises Fiji.
“Everyone likes being lazy on holidays and Fiji is all about ‘Bula’ time, so we thought an 11.30pm departure would allow guests to sleep in or spend the morning by the pool before heading off on their Tivua adventure.”
“The 11.30am departure offers the same inclusions as the 10am departure, including a tropical buffet lunch, all activities and even the option to go diving or have a spa treatment. Both island day cruises are seven hours long and are the same price.” Continues Mrs Charlton.
“Tivua Island Day Cruises can also be purchased open dated with free amendments made until 5pm the day prior to departure.“ Explains Ms Charlton
The Tivua Island adventure begins the moment the magnificent tall ship Ra Marama or luxurious sleek sailing catamaran Fiji One sets sail from Denarau for the tiny island of Tivua – an atoll surrounded by a circle of white sandy beach and 500 acres of coral gardens.
On the journey over enjoy some morning tea and live Fijian tunes by the friendly Captain Cook Cruises Fiji staff.
On arrival at Tivua take part in a traditional welcoming Kava ceremony and then spend the day doing a range of water and land activities or simply relax on the beach and do nothing.
Escorted by a marine biologist, view the colourful underwater world on a guided snorkelling trip over amazing reefs and clam gardens or stay dry and see the beautiful coral and sea life from a glass bottom boat guided tour.
Try some kayaking or paddle boarding around the island. Play some volleyball, feed the fish or join a guided herbal medicine nature walk. (Xanax)
Dive lovers can choose to dive at several sites around Tivua with five-star PADI Diving. From beautiful coral gardens to bommies to its newest dive wreck, ‘Raiyawa’, Tivua has enough to captivate the beginners, reinvigorate the occasional diver, and fascinate the advanced divers.
Those who prefer to simply just relax can lay on the beach on a comfy beanbag under a hut, take a leisurely swim, sleep on a hammock or indulge in a spa treatment from Senikai Spa.
A complimentary Captain Kid’s Club is available for 90 minutes during the day and includes special fun activities like Treasure Hunts, Sand Castle building and a sports programme.
Guests can indulge in a delicious tropical buffet lunch including fish, chicken, sausages, salads and fruit. With beer, wine and soft drinks available all day while on the island.
Cruise back to Denarau and enjoy a coconut demonstration, basket weaving, afternoon tea and more music and entertainment.
The Tivua Island Day Cruise departs daily from Denarau Marina at 10.00am returning at 5.00pm or at 11.30am returning at 6.30pm. Adults are priced at AUD$153 and children (3-15 years) are AUD$89.
Currently a special is available where one child 3-9 years is only AUD$57 with every paying adult.
Senikai Spa treatments and diving are an additional cost.
