Fiji Times Thursday 02 March ROSIE Holidays eight charter flights into Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou in China over the past three years have not only boosted the nation’s foreign exchange earnings to the tune of $51.6 million, they have also provided Fiji Airways an unprecedented opportunity of flying into the world’s fastest-growing tourism market.
The national carrier has played a pivotal role in making the charters possible ever since Rosie Holidays’ first charter flight into China in 2015.
With the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji, Fiji Airways has had to work with Chinese aviation officials and airport authorities to obtain clearances and special permission to fly into Chinese airspace and land at their airports.
