REGIONAL WORKSHOP LOOKS TO STRENGTHEN AGRITOURISM IN THE PACIFIC

Pacific Island Private Sector Forum – Friday 31st May, 2019.

Tuesday 2 April 2019 – Nadi, Fiji – Agriculture, Trade and Tourism representatives from around the Pacific region convened at a regional Agritourism Workshop that focused on discussions and ideas that would support the local Agrifood sector and promote healthy food in Agritourism.

Held at the Nasau Resort and Villas in Nadi over two days, the workshop provided a platform in which stakeholders could discuss policies and way forward to strengthen links between the three vital sectors.

The workshop, organised in partnership by the Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), the European Union, ACP, the Pacific Community, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), South Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) and the Pacific Islands Private Sector Organisation (PIPSO) saw the participation of over 50 people representing private sector, farmers’ organizations, policy-makers, research networks, development practitioners, and international organizations from the Pacific.Read more…
