Fiji Times Saturday 30 September 2017 A RECORD number of entries are expected for the 13 categories that are up for grabs in the 2017 ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.
FETA board of trustees chairperson Bill Whiting said changes to the awards introduced this year may have contributed to the huge response from tourism industry stakeholders.
“We are excited to note the high interest from the industry and encourage all tourism operators to follow-up on their registration and complete their entries following the guidelines, which have been simplified this year, and judging criteria for the category they have chosen to enter,” he said.
Mr Whiting added that all 13 categories were reviewed by the ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards Trustees to widen the scope of entries and allow for maximum participation from the industry.
A new category titled Specialised Tourism Services and Support to Industry has received the highest interest followed by the Tourism Sustainability category. Read more…
