Fiji Sun Monday 27 March 2017 In an effort to create awareness on the reality of climate change, the Radisson Blu Resort Fiji observed Earth Hour on Denarau Island with students from four schools in Nadi.
The resort has been recognised by Earth Check as a leader amongst sustainable tourism operators that are environmentally friendly.
Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, general manager, Gerard Knight, said: “Earth Hour represents a fine example of just what can be achieved as a planet and we hope our event helps everybody remember, that our individual actions can add up to make a significant collective difference.”
Radisson Blu Resort Fiji celebrated the event by inviting in-house guests and four local Nadi schools to participate in a candle lit ceremony that included choir singing, learning about the traditional Fijian culture and learn how to live without modern day technology. Read more…
