Plantation Island Resort’s Bright Future and Exciting New Development

Plantation Island Resort’s Bright Future and Exciting New Development

Media Release – Friday, 20th September, 2o19.

Plantation Island Resort is pleased to announce that it has opened their stunning FJ$16 million development on time on 1 September 2019. This exciting development features a new Arrivals Bure, Restaurant, Pool, Bar and 40 new Ocean View Hotel Rooms!

The breathtaking Arrivals precinct includes a large Arrivals Bure where guests receive a seamless arrival experience from start to finish. New arriving guests are welcomed by stunning views of Malolo Lailai Bay, and the Arrivals precinct itself draws inspiration from the materiality, massing and planning of the traditional Fijian village.

Tavola Restaurant & Bar features a gourmet menu from renowned Fijian Executive Chef Mo Arun, who previously held the title of Executive Chef at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva before coming to Plantation Island Resort. The menu features traditional Fijian dishes that are fresh, light and delicious while having an Asian twist and numerous cultural touches from the Pacific Rim.

Just adjacent to Tavola Restaurant & Bar is a beachfront pool with breathtaking views. The first pool to use a Bionizer in Fiji, Tavola Pool uses low-level currents that pass between two copper and silver electrodes to sanitise the pool for a chemical-free swimming experience.

Guests can stay in one of the 40 new Ocean View Hotel Rooms that are mere steps away from the ocean itself. Small families and couples get a hotel-style room option that creates a different experience than staying in the resort’s numerous stand-alone bures. Each room also has a spectacular view of Malolo Lailai Bay. These new rooms allow Plantation Island Resort to claim the title of the largest resort in the Mamanuca Islands with a total of 196 rooms at the property.

“As the first stage of our resort-wide redevelopment, we couldn’t be happier with the result” states Raffe Hotels & Resorts CEO Bradley Robinson. “The architecture is quite striking and the build quality is excellent. We can now offer our guests a seamless and more comfortable arrival experience as well as a fabulous beachside dining option. The new Hotel rooms have been an instant hit with the first guests to stay in them, adding a great quality and very comfortable option to our more traditional bure style accommodation. The project has completely transformed this part of the resort and has set the scene for many more exciting changes and improvements that lay ahead for Plantation.”

Come stay at Plantation Island Resort and experience the world-class accommodations that draw guests back again and again!
