ECOTOURISM is gaining popularity as more travellers choose to go green while on holiday, opting to enjoy the country’s natural environment and lesser developed areas.
With Government headlining the move to establish a Green Growth Framework in Fiji’s tourism industry, the leader of one of the country’s biggest tourism landowning units says the protection of native resources would also benefit the indigenous community.
Ratu Vuniyani Navuniuci, who was appointed Tui Nadi by the Native Land Commission last week, said native resources such as land, forests and fishing grounds were also part of iTaukei culture and tradition. Read more…
