New Zealand Government passed (01-Jun-2019) legislation to allow the collection of the International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy, effective 01-Jul-2019.
The levy will be collected through the immigration system and is expected to raise NZD450 million (USD294 million) over five years.
The funding aims to contribute to tourism infrastructure and environmental protection.
