The Fiji Times, 02 October 2017 – THERE is still time to implement the 17 voluntary commitments given by Fiji at the Ocean Conference in New York earlier this year, says Minister for Fisheries Semi Koroilavesau.
“We have a time space to initiate all the initiatives so these are the initiation process, this will indicate to the public Fiji’s effort in making sure that we carry out the voluntary commitments that has been made by Fiji,” he said.
“Fiji had mooted that we review the Ocean Conference every two years if that is accepted by the UN and agreed, that is up to the United Nations.” Read more…
