Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay has marked its recognition as a Wellness Hero 2026 with a three-day World Wellness Weekend programme that brought together more than 145 guests, associates and community members for a series of wellbeing and community initiatives.
Held from 18 to 20 September, the programme featured seven wellness activations and more than 72 hours of wellbeing programming, spanning fitness, spa treatments, mindfulness, sound healing, yoga, Pilates and community outreach.
The resort’s Wellness Hero 2026 recognition is the highest accolade awarded by World Wellness Weekend and recognises organisations demonstrating a strong commitment to guest wellbeing, associate engagement and community impact. The achievement follows Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay’s consecutive Wellness Champion recognitions in 2024 and 2025.
World Wellness Weekend is a global movement held across more than 160 countries, promoting healthier lifestyles through activities focused on physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.
The resort’s programme opened with a Beach Bootcamp at Vonu Beach, followed by a Pop-Up Spa offering complimentary wellness treatments to guests and associates. Saturday’s activities included a Sunrise Sound Healing and Cacao Ritual and the resort’s signature Inner Flow experience, a 90-minute programme combining yoga, breathwork, sound therapy and guided meditation. The weekend concluded with a Pilates session.
A significant part of the programme extended beyond the resort, with 25 associates visiting Tagane Mai Home, a mentoring and rehabilitation programme supporting young men affected by trauma and substance abuse.
The team donated five cartons of essential supplies, including groceries, linens, personal care products, slippers and resort blankets, with the contribution valued at approximately FJD3,000. Associates also led a fitness and wellness session for 71 programme participants, promoting healthy living and positive community connection.
The outreach was delivered in partnership with Marriott International’s Women in Leadership (WIL) initiative, with participants contributing more than three hours of volunteer service while providing emerging women leaders with practical leadership experience through a community-focused programme.
“World Wellness Weekend brought together our guests, associates and local community through a shared commitment to wellbeing,” said Sharonne Naisara, Director of Spa Operations & Recreation at Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay.
“Achieving Wellness Hero status reflects our commitment to making wellbeing an integral part of the guest and associate experience while creating meaningful connections and positive impact beyond our resort.”
The weekend attracted 60 guests, 25 associates and 46 community participants, demonstrating the broad engagement generated by the resort’s wellbeing programme.
For Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, the Wellness Hero recognition builds on an ongoing approach to incorporating wellbeing into guest experiences, associate programmes and community partnerships, while connecting the resort’s wellness offering with broader community impact.
