Fiji Times Saturday 01 April 2017 MORE than 900 jobs were created during the construction and operational phases of the Fiji Marriott Momi Bay Resort, says the Fiji National Provident Fund, owners of the $200 million 250-room property.
FNPF chief operating officer Jaoji Koroi said the benefits of the investment on Fiji’s economy during the development and operational phases were significant.
“The project has boosted growth in the construction industry,” he said.
“It generated over 400 new employment opportunities during construction and will create an additional 500 jobs when the hotel is in full operation.”
He said there were also a significant number of employment opportunities and economic activities generated in the economy by subcontractors involved in the project. Read more…
