Maharaj: Law benefits authority

Fiji Sun, 23 March – LTA board chairperson Vijay Maharaj said the amended law would benefit the authority in their role as regulators and drivers because they would have more time to pay up their fines.

“This amendment will give a greater control to LTA as a regulatory body, to manage its own affairs in collecting the fines which hitherto (prior to the amendment) ended up in court creating huge backlogs in the court system.
