Leadership Development Program (Module 2)

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association is offering their popular “Leadership Development Program Module 2 “. The FHTA Leadership Development Program comprises two intensive modules of four‐days per module where participants will explore their strengths and development needs as managers and leaders, assess their effectiveness and consider new approaches in leading and managing teams, and learn to adopt a more strategic approach in their business roles.

The program will utilise adult learning principles, and require commitment and immersion in the two‐module program on the part of participants. The program will involve individual reflections and self‐assessment, group and team activity, dealing with a range of scenarios and developing action plans.

Module 2 will build on the work undertaken in Module 1. Each participant will have identified a project that will be refined and presented during Module 2 and it is expected that they will seek to implement the same upon their return to their workplaces. Some inter‐modular work has been set for the group.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

  1. Understand the context and factors impacting the industry
  2. Advance the role of tourism sector managers in delivering effective service
  3. Augment their managerial and personal leadership skills
  4. Develop better self‐awareness of personal strengths and weaknesses for career development
  5. Improve their ability to supervise and train staff more effectively
  6. Understand the techniques of managing performance including giving and receiving feedback professionally
  7. Have an improved understanding of team‐working and collaborative skills
  8. Enhance the ability to manage conflict constructively
  9. Improve personal productivity and resilience
  10. Enhance their oral and written presentation skills
  11. Be able to apply learned skills through a business project.

TARGET GROUP;

  • Managers who have been identified as having the potential to take on more senior management responsibilities in the future

Date: 6th February – 9th February 2018

Venue: Tanoa International Hotel

Investment:

  • $800.00 per person for members per module
  • $1,000 per person for Non-members

We are now accepting registration from Members who attended Module 1 and other members who are interested in participating in this program. **This program is grant claimable as per Method B Table.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Once a signed Registration Form has been received, any cancellation must be advised in writing to, and acknowledged by, the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA). Any cancellation made after the closing date will incur an administration fee of 50% of the total price.
