Tourism Fiji, 30 September 2019 – Kawamura Koichi and his wife are the first two Japanese guests to arrive into Fiji under the “Japan Agent Travel Exclusive” that Tourism Fiji in partnership with Fiji Airways and Industry members launched last month.
This is Mr. Kawamura Koichi’s first trip to Fiji, and he says he is already enjoying himself. The 29-year-old works for General Travel Agency in Japan and brought his wife on this trip. He said, “Everyone we’ve met from the time we stepped off the plane has been very kind and helpful. My wife and I are looking forward to spending some time at the beach and just taking the beautiful island views Fiji has to offer.”
The Agent Travel Exclusive was launched to allow travel agents the opportunity to experience the destination at their own time, with an extremely compelling price point and this will allow Fiji to stay top-of-mind for travel agents. It’s an initiative that will enable a large worker of agents to experience the destination so they can then better sell Fiji to their clients.
Tourism Fiji Regional Manager Asia, Ms. Kathy Koyamaibole said, “This agent exclusive will provide front liners with firsthand experience of Fiji and was enthusiastically supported by Fiji’s industry and Japanese trade partners. The initiative also gives agents the freedom to travel at a time convenient to them as well which we hope will generate significant uptake.”
