(NATADOLA, FIJI) Thursday 15th February 2018 – The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has rolled out a series of seafood banquets to welcome the Chinese Lunar New Year, Year of the Dog, to be celebrated from 16 th February 2018.
As one of IHG’s pilot resorts for the ‘Zhou Dao’ programme which recognises properties who are ready to welcome Chinese guests, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has revamped and refined its services to add value to the overall guest experience.
“Our new Chinese New Year seafood banquets were inspired by carefully considering what our Chinese guests would enjoy during this time of festivity and feel at home. In addition to all the culturally-sensitive enhancements to enrich the Chinese guest experience, we find that seafood is one of the most popular menu items that Chinese guests love and delight in during special occasions,” says Andrew Davidson, Area General Manager – South Pacific.
“We have a dedicated Chinese New Year seafood buffet with the traditional dragon dance performance this Friday evening at Sanasana Restaurant. There is also an opportunity for guests to enjoy another option of a boutique seafood extravaganza, including Fijian delicacies, offered three nights a week in the first 15 days of the lunar year at our newly built Fijian Cultural Bure,” said Mr. Davidson. “Our resort team has been preparing and is absolutely ready to look after all our guests over this time.”
Guests can choose to enjoy the Chinese New Year Seafood Buffet for FJ$120 per person this Friday, 16th February 2018; or dine at an intimate Seafood Delicacies Dinner Buffet offered at the Fijian Cultural Bure at FJ$295 per person with an extensive choice of fresh succulent lobsters, green mussels, sea grapes (nama), octopus, oysters, local reef fish, sashimi and more. The Seafood Delicacies Dinner Buffet will be offered on 19 th February, 21 st February, 23 rd February, and 26th February.
