InterContinental Fiji “China Ready” to Welcome Chinese Lunar New Year

(NATADOLA, FIJI) Friday 26th January 2018 – The InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa is ‘China Ready’ in time to welcome the upcoming Chinese Lunar New Year, Year of the Dog, to be celebrated on 16 February 2018.

In line with being recognized as one of IHG's pilot resorts for being China Ready, the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has revamped and refined its services to add value to the overall experience of its Chinese guests.

“Our Resort team continues to implement many thoughtful, culturally-sensitive enhancements to enrich the Chinese guest experience. Some enhancements to make our guests feel more at home include increased Chinese menu offerings across our dining outlets, additional Chinese television stations, as well as a more comprehensive Chinese welcome pack to Chinese guests arriving”; says Andrew Davidson, Area General Manager – South Pacific.

“We are also very excited to have recently welcomed our Mandarin speaking Guest Services Agent, Ms Wen, Chon Hi ‘Shandy’. Shandy is fluent in both Mandarin and English and is a welcomed addition to our team as she adds another dimension of exceptional service that we know will be appreciated by our Chinese guests" said Mr Davidson.

The Resort undertook a revamp in services to qualify for the IHG China Ready branding. Staff have been trained to understand Chinese guest’s cultural values and traditions in order to anticipate service needs and exceed expectations when staying at the multi award winning InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa.

As part of celebrations during Chinese Lunar New Year, guests can expect Chinese banquet meals and entertainment among other experiences. The iconic beach setting, award winning day spa and access to the Natadola Bay Championship Course are already key attractions to the Chinese market.
