IT is critical that the Pacific region take an inclusive approach to the finalisation of the Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (PACER-Plus) text and its implementation going forward.
This was the view of Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat secretary general Dame Meg Taylor, who has welcomed the progress made on the PACER-Plus negotiations.
Negotiations on PACER-Plus had concluded last month in Australia, however Fiji and Papua New Guinea who are also members of the forum were not present. Read more…
