Fiji Times, 20th March 2017 – THERE may be hope of employment overseas for local carpenters and workers in the hospitality industry mainly in New Zealand and Australia.
Responding to questions raised at the Employers Forum in Labasa last Friday, employment ministry’s deputy secretary Vilimone Baledrokadroka said 13 people from the National Employment Centre were now employed in rehabilitation works in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Mr Baledrokadroka said another 12 workers were also working in North Australia.
He said New Zealand had opened up its horticulture industry mainly in fruit picking. Read more…
