Fiji Airways and Fiji Link Advisory – Mount Aoba Eruption and resulting Ash Cloud

Fiji Airways, 27 July 2018 – A significant ash cloud caused by the Mount Aoba Volcanic Eruption in Vanuatu will severely affect flight operations around the region today.

As a result a number of Fiji Airways and Fiji Link flights will be impacted. Safety remains paramount for the Group and safety assessments will be made continuously regarding the Ash Cloud situation.

Currently, all Fiji Link flights are on hold, and guests are advised to expect delays until the volcanic ash cloud movement is assessed and the situation is conducive to safe flight operations.

A number of Fiji Airways flights will likely be affected. These flights include:

  • FJ263    Nadi – Port Vila
  • FJ262    Port Vila – Nadi
  • FJ910    Sydney – Nadi
  • FJ810    Los Angeles – Nadi
  • FJ915    Nadi – Sydney
  • FJ931    Nadi – Melbourne
