The Fiji Times, 02 June 2017 – THE runway on Rotuma will soon be able to accommodate larger aircraft following the groundbreaking ceremony for its extension yesterday.
Secretary for the landowning unit Jioje Fiu said this was an answer to their travel woes as the arrival of bigger aircraft would mean more can travel and airfares could be cheaper.
“On Wednesdays and Fridays we have about 12 to 13 people who wait to board the flight but there are only five seats available and most of the time our people go back home disappointed,” he said. Read more…
