National Budget 2021-2022 Revenue Policies Webinar

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) in collaboration with the Fiji Revenue and Customs Services (FRCS) will be conducting a Free Member Awareness session on Friday, 20 August 2021 from 10am to discuss changes in the Taxation & Customs Policies from the Fijian National Budget 2021/2022.

After FHTA discussions with the FRCS senior management team and the FRCS Board last week, the interactive Webinar is an opportunity to share with our members a better understanding of the supportive policies and incentives to get the industry and its supply chains reopening-ready.

This two-hour awareness session will cover the following topics;

Income Tax Act:

• Hotel Investment Incentive (SLIP)
• Incentive for Investment in Recycling Business
• Agriculture Incentive
• Natural Disaster Fund
• Tax Deduction on Fogging Machines
• Debt Forgiveness up to No. 18 Film Making & Audio Visual

Tax Administration Act:

• Withholding Tax
• Tax Refunds
• VMS

Indirect Tax Measures:

• VAT Act
• ECAL
• Customs Tariff Act

Practical application of the new legislative amendments will be discussed followed by a Q&A discussion. As such Members are invited to send through any other issues or questions you wish to raise during this session with your registration.
