FBC News, 11 March – The Ministry of Industry & Trade is working to further strengthen Fiji’s Competition Policy document, namely the Commerce Commission Act 2010. This is being done through technical assistance provided by the Asia Development Bank.
The Fiji Commerce Commission is in the process of reviewing the Consumer Credit Act 1999 in partnership with the Pacific Financial Inclusion Program.
Speaking at the closing ceremony at a 4 day scoping mission from Samoa Trade, Minister Faiyaz Koya stressed that these Consumer protection laws needs to be strengthened to make it more current and effective for the benefit of consumers. Full coverage
