Company launches shipping service

A NEW player in the shipping industry, Miller Shipping Services, is expected to launch a new vessel in Savusavu today.

Their vessel, Princess Moana, arrived in Suva on Sunday from its shipyard and is expected to leave for Savusavu in time for its official opening and the traditional iTaukei cere ceremony.

Company director Panapasa Vonokula said this signalled a new beginning for the Vanua Levu region as they hoped to provide a better service to passengers.

“The reason we came in was because of service. We’re a new player in the industry and it may seem like a David and Goliath situation when you’re up against the established Goundar Shipping Ltd but we want to offer a service where passengers can choose their comfort,” he said. Read more…
