Fiji Times Saturday 10 June 2017 GOVERNMENT needs to look at the ease of doing business, particularly for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), says the Fiji Institute of Accountants.
The accounting body made this proposal as part of its submissions to the Ministry of Economy on the 2017/2018 National Budget which is expected to be announced later this month.
The FIA stated that there were many procedures and requirements just to start a business along with the related costs at every step of the way.
“This issue needs to be properly reviewed and addressed so that MSMEs can be quickly set up and flourish without too much cost and unnecessary red tape,” the submission stated. Read more…
