Bid to boost tourist arrivals from China

Fiji Times Tuesday 01 August 2017  A TELEVISION crew from Hong Kong is in the country to shoot its popular show Fun Abroad which is expected to be aired in November to more than seven million viewers in its country of origin and in 14 countries in Asia, Oceania, Europe and America.

The six-member crew is in the country in support with Kinton International Group Ltd with assistance from Fiji Tour Managers with the aim to boost Chinese tourism numbers to Fiji this year.

A media statement from the company yesterday said for the past few days, one of the largest Chinese TV program producers TVB has had their local popular TV show — Fun Abroad shooting at different locations around Fiji.

It said so far the team had visited the greater Suva area, the firewalkers of Beqa and the beautiful islands of Taveuni.

According to the information from Kinton International, the team of six would be in the country for the next few days capturing the local culture, sights, sounds and tastes of Fiji.
