The Fiji Times, 13 July 2017 – THE Auditor-General has called for a stronger control in the administration of credit card payments to avoid payments being made for fraudulent transactions.
Audior-General Ajay Nand’s Audit Report on General Administration Sector 2016 Volume 2 highlighted that the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama was also a victim of credit card fraud.
According to the report, an audit review of reconciliations for the Visa card account revealed that visa card expenses amounting to $6492.11 were cleared without acquittals/invoices from overseas suppliers contrary to Section 7 of the Credit Card Policy 2016. Read more…
