Fiji Times Saturday 09 September 2017 THE Housing Authority of Fiji has embarked on a new journey by setting up its own design and building team.
The team is tasked to design and develop building concepts with its first assignment set for Phase 3A of the Tacirua East Stage 2 Sub Division. The authority also plans to include Phase 1A of Tacirua East, Nepani, Nasinu and Matavolivoli in Nadi to be part of the pilot program.
Authority CEO Dr Punit Sethi said this was part of the organisation’s program to deliver housing for the people of Fiji. Part of the initiative also includes the authority carrying out development and construction works in consultation with contractors and heavy machinery providers on its own.
“Should this be successful it will be considered for future housing authority developments and construction,” Dr Sethi said.
