A TOTAL of 82,316 visitors flocked to our shores last month registering an increase of 7.8 per cent when compared with the 76,347 recorded in the same period last year.
But it showed a decrease when compared with the visitor arrivals in July of this year, which exceeded the 90,000 mark for the first time.
The Fiji Bureau of Statistics (FBoS) highlighted this in its provisional visitor arrivals for August 2017 released on Monday.
Looking at the 12 monthly numbers ending August 2017, Fiji’s visitor arrivals increased by 6.1 per cent compared with the same period in 2016.Read more…
