Fiji Times Saturday 01 April 2017 FIJI’S traditional tourist markets accounted for 83.0 per cent of tourism earnings in the December quarter of 2016, which is a decrease of 0.1 percentage point when compared with the December quarter of 2015.
In its recent issue, the Fiji Bureau of Statistics highlighted Fiji’s earnings from tourism which stood at $471.5 million for the December quarter of last year, an increase of 13. (https://royaldentallabs.com/) 3 per cent or $55.2m when compared with the September quarter of last year.
An increase in the number of visitor days resulted in an increase in Fiji’s earnings by 15.3 per cent to $62.6m when compared with the December quarter of 2015.
Fiji’s tourism earnings for stood at $1.6m last year which, according to the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, was an increase of 2.7 per cent when compared with the 2015 figure of $1.5m. Read more…
