The Fiji Times, 17 May 2017 – THE Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority has identified some dishonest practices in Fiji where some businesses and individuals falsely imply that they are registered for VAT by listing their tax identification number (TIN) on invoices and charging VAT inclusive prices (VIP).
By doing this, the businesses are not only defrauding customers but FRCA and Government as well.
This is illegal and businesses or persons found guilty of doing this will be severely fined or given a jail sentence once charges are successfully pursued in court. Read more…
