Suva, Fiji – October 19, 2023 – The Chief Executive Officers of the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) and the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF) showed their joint appreciation of the Fiji Police Force for their higher visibility in and around the central division.
In a recent announcement, the Fiji Police Force achieved an 11% reduction in reported crime, underscoring their unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and safety within communities contributed no doubt to the increased visibility and attention to frequent crime areas.
To convey their gratitude, the CEOs of FHTA and the FCEF presented an impromptu morning tea for nearby officers, personally expressing their gratitude to the dedicated officers for maintaining public safety.
CEO of FHTA Mrs. Fantasha Lockington stated “We are thrilled by the positive transformations observed recently and wanted to personally express our appreciation. While we might be quick to raise our concerns or criticize unacceptable service, we should be just as quick to offer our thanks to the many police officers who maintain the peace, have stepped up their efforts in response to our raised concerns, as well as always helping us get through the weekday morning traffic so we can all get to work and school as quickly as possible.”
The increased efforts to reduce crime and maintain a higher visibility and presence around the city areas have been warmly welcomed by both organisations.
