The Fiji Times, 25 July 2017 – ALTHOUGH tourist arrivals are increasing and tourism continues to be vital to Fiji’s economy, not everyone benefits from its trickle-down effect.
But the potential for Fiji’s tourism industry to lead to greater economic prosperity can be dependent on the increasing of current markets or diversification of tourism products.
University of the South Pacific’s (USP) senior lecturer in tourism and hospitality Dr Dawn Gibson highlighted this while speaking at the 8th Speaker’s Debate at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night. Read more…
