Tourism Fiji media release, Nadi, 10 July 2019 – Tourism Fiji is pleased to announce that the 2020 Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) will be held from 4 – 6 May.
In making the official announcement, the Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Local Government, Housing and Community Development, Honourable Premila Kumar said, “We are pleased to announce the dates for next year’s event on the heels of a successful 2019 FTE. I am confident that the 2020 FTE will be another world class event and we are eager to see more of our local industry stakeholders and international partners return next year.”
“The Fijian Government remains committed to increasing access to the Fijian tourism market and creating linkages between our local industries and international partners. The FTE has successfully achieved this objective over the years and has become a marquee event for the Fijian Tourism industry,” the Minister added.
The annual expo includes scheduled appointments for international buyers and media to engage with Fiji’s Tourism Industry and this year alone saw a record number of international buyers participate and over 4,000 appointments held during the Expo.
Tourism Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Mr Matthew Stoeckel said the FTE is the perfect opportunity for Fiji to showcase the best of what Fiji has to offer.
Mr Stoeckel said, “FTE is a highly anticipated event and I encourage our local Industry and trade partners to put FTE 2020 into their calendar. We received fantastic feedback from our Expo this year and look forward to putting on another Expo next year that will do Fiji proud in showcasing the destination to our international travel trade partners and media.”

FTE 2019 was held from 22-24 May at the Sheraton Fiji Resort in Denarau Island, Nadi.
