ANZ Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards (FETA) announced the 2023 season launch at Sails Denarau to kickstart preparations for the tourism industry’s premium and highly anticipated awards.
FETA Chair Debra Sadranu said the new season will once again provide an exciting opportunity
for individuals and organisations in the tourism industry with a focus on diversity and inclusivity for all stakeholders.
FETA also announced the induction of Vatuvara Private Islands into the FETA Hall of Fame to join tourism icons Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort and Rosie Holidays in the prestigious recognition.
The Hall of Fame was created in 2017 to honour hotels/resorts and tourism operators who have won a category for 3 years in a row which is a criteria for tourism industry organisations to be inducted.
Sadranu said “I would also like to thank Jacks Of Fiji for donating the stunning plaque that will be on display at the Fiji Tourism Head Office” acknowledging the recipients of the Hall of Fame recognition”.
The FETA action team is working towards the preparation of online registration for the 2023 season and the team will be reaching out to tourism stakeholders through various platforms to encourage them to participate and register during this period.
Last year’s awards had 20 categories presented together with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement and Visionary Award at the grand gala dinner event held in February this year.
FETA also acknowledged the presence of its valued sponsors who have recommitted for 3 years which is testimony of their support towards the tourism industry and the celebration of all stakeholders contribution to destination Fiji.
FETA will be making further announcements leading up to the awards in the coming weeks.
