HEAVY RAIN WARNING
A HEAVY RAIN WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR EASTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP.
A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE REST OF FIJI.
SITUATION:
A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE REMAINS SLOW MOVING OVER FIJI.
MEANWHILE, ANOTHER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WITH ASSOCIATED CLOUD AND RAIN JUST TO THE NORTH OF FIJI IS GRADUALLY DRIFTING SOUTH TOWARDS THE GROUP.
FOR EASTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP: PERIODS OF RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES AND SQUALLY THUNDERSTORMS.
FOR YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS: OCCASIONAL RAIN, HEAVY AT TIMES AND FEW THUNDERSTORMS. RAIN BECOMING FREQUENT FROM LATER TODAY.
FOR THE REST OF FIJI: OCCASIONAL SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. SHOWERS INCREASING TO RAIN, BECOMING FREQUENT AND HEAVY AT TIMES FROM THURSDAY.
LOCALISED HEAVY RAIN MAY LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
