Fiji Revenue & Customs Services, 14 July 2018 – The Revenue and Customs wishes to remind all employers whose employees are earning $30,000 and less per annum in year 2018, that you are required to lodge your Employer Monthly Summary (EMS) on a six monthly basis.
The due date for the submission of the 6 monthly EMS Files for the period ended 30/06/2018 is 31st July, 2018. All other summaries that are already overdue will now become liable for further enforcement action, to be initiated by the Revenue and Customs. (lsu79.org)
It is compulsory for an Employer to register as a “Six Monthly EMS Lodger” before the Six Monthly EMS files are submitted to Revenue and Customs.
Please be advised that without submitting a full year’s EMS details to Revenue and Customs, your employees will not be able to have their tax assessments finalized for the respective year. Failure by Employers to lodge the EMS files on or before the due date will attract Late Lodgement Penalties.
For those that may require assistance or guidance in completing their EMS, a video tutorial is available online https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ew79zwT-DQ4, you can also email your query to payeems@frcs.org.fj or contact Mr. Dhineshwaran Gounder on telephone 324-3503 for clarification.
