DENARAU ISLAND, FIJI, March 28, 2025 – Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort is delighted to announce the opening of Cellar & Barrel, Fiji’s first speakeasy bar dedicated to fine wine, rare whiskey, and spirits, as well as crafted cocktails. With a distinguished collection of over 300 beverage labels from around the globe, positioning Cellar & Barrel as the premier destination for connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts alike.

Situated adjacent to Island 619 restaurant at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Cellar & Barrel encompasses two distinct spaces: a sophisticated walk-in wine cellar and an ambient whiskey and spirits speakeasy bar.

The Wine Cellar features an impressive variety of selections from both renowned ‘old world’ and innovative ‘new world’ wine-making regions, creating a sanctuary for wine enthusiasts. Guests are invited to indulge in the signature Cellar Elite experience, comprising an intimate wine-tasting session complemented by thoughtfully curated platters, guided by the resort’s certified in-house beverage team.

The Barrel Craft experience presents a refined speakeasy bar, characterized by an intricately designed chandelier inspired by the whiskey distillation process hung above a marble-topped table, and unique wall art assembled from framed belts. Personal whiskey lockers with glass windows form a distinguished “whiskey wall,” allowing patrons to store their preferred bottles with custom name engravings.

Embracing the philosophy that “every sip tells a story,” Cellar & Barrel boasts an international team of four highly trained mixologists from Ireland, Indonesia, Kenya, and Fiji, bringing a combined 40 years of experience. Tasteful whiskey-based cocktails and upcycled mocktails, display their craftsmanship that blends traditional methods with contemporary sophistication, honoring the richness of Fijian culture and culinary techniques. Use of local herbs and spices from the Sheraton Fiji Farm, along with homemade cocktail syrups, enhances the overall experience.

For an appetizing paired menu of small plates, Fijian flavors are favored with global culinary techniques, enriching guest’s experience through exquisite authentic options prepared by our award-winning chefs.                      

Cellar & Barrell (C&B) also affords the opportunity to host weddings, corporate gatherings, and social events, ranging from intimate experiences to grand celebrations.
