Fiji Times, 07 March – THE tourism industry must be commended for not letting Tropical Cyclone Winston be a major impediment to their growth, says permanent secretary for Ministry of Tourism Shaheen Ali.
Mr Ali made the comment to this newspaper when asked on the recovery of Fiji’s tourism industry one year after the devastating cyclone last February.
“The industry has persevered very well and in fact had done well,” he said.
“We hope this will continue because the Fijian Government is in the process of finalising the Fijian Tourism Development Plan where we want a consolidated approach towards growing the industry from all stakeholders.” Read more…
