KPMG, 11 February 2019 – The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ROC) recently issued a public notice in respect of the inclusion of the words “Pte Limited” or the abbreviation “Pte Ltd” at the end of a company name for all existing private companies in compliance with Section 726(2) of the Companies Act 2015 (Act).
The ROC notice advises that it is not mandatory under the Act to obtain a new certificate after the change, however should companies wish to obtain a certificate to reflect the updated name, it must lodge Form A6 together with the company special resolution.
The ROC advises that no fee is applicable for this lodgement.
