The Fiji Times, 03 October 2017 – BEGINNING next year, fish licence holders in Macuata will be banned from selling sea cucumbers, says paramount chief Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.
The ban, he said, which was already in existence with the Ministry of Fisheries would ensure protection of the marine species.
“We need to work with the State in protecting our qoliqoli and from next year, the vanua of Macuata will enforce the ban of sea cucumbers,” he said. Read more…
