The Fiji Times, 11 September 2017 – THE implementation and enforcement of the new national minimum wage rate of $2.68, both for the formal and informal sectors, will begin by the end of this month.
Announcing this, Minister for Employment, Productivity and Industrial Relations Jone Usamate highlighted that the new national minimum wage is expected to benefit the more than 150,000 marginalised workers in the informal sector.
And with this, Mr Usamate has also reminded all employers to adjust their books and payrolls accordingly prior to the implementation date. Read more…
