The Fiji Times, 06 January 2018 – THE room occupancy rate for hotels and tourist accommodations in the country increased by 0.5 per cent during the third quarter of 2017 to 57.4 per cent.
This was highlighted in the Fiji Bureau of Statistics (FBoS) Provisional Hotels and Tourist Accommodation data for the third quarter of last year.
In its survey of licensed hotels, resorts and lodging houses, the bureau noted a 5.3 per cent increase (26,899) in the number of rooms sold while 4.4 per cent (39,183) rooms were available during the review period. Read more…
