29 June 2023, Nadi, Fiji – Marriott International Fiji Hotels have celebrated consecutive Associate Appreciation Week’s across their cluster of resorts between 23 May to 23 June 2023.
The week-long annual celebrations serve as a platform to recognise and celebrate community and contributions of their 1407 associates across the cluster, comprising of Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort, Sheraton Denarau Villas and Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island Fiji.
Inspired by Marriott International’s global brand platform ‘Be,’ the week focused on the core values and encouraged associates to embody them through various activities. Each day focused on different pillars, such as BE Curious, BE Connected; BE Empowered, BE You; BE Inspired, BE a Leader; BE Purposeful, Be Bold; and BE Positive, BE an Explorer.
During the week of June 5 to 9, the Area Leadership Team had their annual visit to Fiji to see
how the business is going, have meetings with leaders, meet associates to learn more about them on a personal level and share their appreciation, they were also able to experience the properties farm. The team included Area Vice President, ANZP – Sean Hunt, Area Director of Human Resources – ANZP, Natasha Rasheed, Area Director of Finance, ANZP – John Douglas, Director of Operations ANZP – Harry Singh and Senior Area Director of Marketing ANZP – Florencia Aimo, among others.

Fiji Marriott Resort Momi Bay which has 502 associates, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort and Sheraton Denarau Villas which has a total of 735 associates and Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island, which employs 170 associates, participated in a series of activities. They participated in bed making competitions to showcase their attention to detail, financial literacy planning that equipped associates with essential skills to managing their personal finances, medical check-ups ensuring their wellbeing and health, volleyball tournaments and volunteering initiatives as part of the celebration.
Demonstrating Marriott International’s unwavering commitment to improving the communities around them through Serve360, Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort and Sheraton Denarau Villas collaborated for the Solia Lesu donation drive. Over six months, associates at the properties collected basic stationary items and donated FJD 2000 worth of school starter packs to Nawai Secondary School, benefiting 192 students from Tau, Nabila, Momi, and Nabau communities.
