ABOUT 64 employees were honoured by staff and management of Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa for their long service to the popular family property.
The resort also named its three longest serving staff members, Sakiusa Gavidi, Krishna Nand and Epi Savatu.
“As one of Fiji’s oldest and largest resorts, Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort & Spa first opened its doors in 1967,” a statement from the resort said.
“The loyalty and service of the staff are paramount to the service that the resort offers.
“With a high number of return guests, their stay is made even more memorable with the staff members who remember them.
“We have seen generations of guests continue to visit the resort and it is so unique to be able to have that connection with the staff every time they return.”
During the awards ceremony last week, staff members were also recognised for their service to the hotel from 10 years up to 35 years.
“This is also the first time that we have recognised our temporary colleagues in the awards dinner, who have shown dedication to the resort over a number of years.”
