Vomo Press Release – Monday 26th March 2019.
Fresh seasonal produce & seafood fused with local Fijian flavours will be showcased at Nic Watt’s culinary event at VOMO Island Fiji in May.
The five days of ‘tastes’ will feature a selection of four-course menus, cocktails and canapes, and MASU Japanese Robata style taste plates. Add a luxurious 5-star private island resort on the cusp of Fiji’s Yasawa Islands and you have the ingredients for a rare and exceptional culinary event.
The setting for the event is VOMO’s Rocks Bar & Restaurant on the secluded western tip of the island, and overlooking the luxurious newly opened only infinity pool, which is part of a chilled out setting for adult guests to relax.
This is the second year that Nic has returned to VOMO to host the event. “It’s exciting to be offered the opportunity to again blend my culinary expertise with fresh local Fijian produce. VOMO is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a showcase of Fijian inspired tastes and flavours.”
Designing his menus for the event around fresh seasonal imported and local produce and seafood, Nic is planning a trip to the local markets on the mainland with VOMO Executive Chef, and fellow Kiwi Michael Fosbender, to select the best possible fresh ingredients before heading to VOMO to get cooking.
Boutique, all-inclusive and family-friendly VOMO Island offers some of the most luxurious accommodation in Fiji with villas nestled in the resort’s beautiful hillside gardens or along the beachfront, as well as private residences on the beach.
